This is a lovely period antique chest. Simply made has stood the test of time because it is strong and robust.

The chest has a hinged opening top with a deep interior. It is a practical and beautiful storage option, but would also create impact in a room, or a wide hallway with a vase of flowers or art piece on it. The interior still has its original candle box. There are two working drawers below with decorative hardware (no keys).

It has an excellent patina, and deep brown colour with waxed finish.

These pieces of furniture are quite hard to find and we are reluctantly parting with it. It has been much loved for many years but we have downsized and sadly we don't have a place for it any longer.
