Description

I was given advice by someone I respected: "Buy a boat, Its more than just a purchase, it's the whole experience" They were right.

What a wonderful experience it has been. Its time for a new owner to enjoy it.

5.6m long, wide body * 1980s Fi-Glass lightning? (That is what I was told it was, but cannot confirm. The newer models are close to 1m longer, but similar internal space) 2004 Yamaha Saltwater series 115 two stroke. (346hrs) 50ltr inboard tank, with plug-in tote tanks (Have run multiple missions, Durville Island, Okiwi bay, and the greater Tasman area)

Sound, reliable, comfortable, practical, handles well, and punches well beyond its price or size. Have owned for 3 years, after upgrading from my very small, 4m Marlborough dart.

Trailer has just been professionally repaired/rebuilt $4000. New sounder package, GPS, 1kw transducer and side-scan transducer installed $8000. Motor has had a good overhaul by mechanic, and starts/runs perfectly (very important when you are miles out to sea in big ocean and remote locations)

This boat is the "budget friendly" option for those of us who want to fish big water, but don't have 120k to throw at it. Pick your weather window, and fish the Hapuka holes off Stephens, drop off the kaikoura shelf, or stay overnight in the cuddie-cabin. It's no "shiny new machine" but it is well loved and cared for. Very practical, and comfortable for big missions away, or family fun at the beach.

To many things to fully list on here. 2x battery set up (house and start) Lights. USB chargers. 12v plug point. Wakeboard rack. Bait board. Ski-Pole (needs some work to complete, tow ring welded into position etc) Bimmimi roof. Rod holders. 12" simrad GPS and depth sounder. 3x tote tanks Anchor Sea-dredge for Saftey/drift fishing. Infill cabin squab for overnight.

Selling as-is where-is, but overall it is an excellent boat, and well set up for its price. I had no intention of selling it, but it is time for it to go.
