This has been exceptional for rain & shade. It has handled the windiest nights when i have forgotten to wind it in some nights and the biggest downpours. The way it's set up is to have water run-off to one side. We replaced it with a large permanent fixed louvre system to extend our outdoor deck area. Very simple to install by bolting the brackets in location and it hangs on the brackets and is locked in with screw adjustment. The team at Palmer canvas are able to install it, otherwise I’m happy to provide advice.
