Description
Lapierre Overvolt AM 500
Year: 2017 Size: L Travelled 8k km Bosch Performance line CX Gen 2 Motor (limited to 25kph) with 500 Wh battery. Converted from 11 Speed to SRAM 12 Speed 27.5+ Maxxis High Roller IIs tyres Rockshox 150 front travel and 140 rear, last serviced end of last year. Currently running standard seat post but cable routing and lever still in place for dropper post. Comes with two keys and a charger
This is a very fun bike to ride but I’ve been given another e bike and need to free up space in the garage. Battery life is still good.
Issues I’m aware of: (1) I’ve been riding up steeper tracks the last month as my riding partner has gotten an Ebike recently. I have noticed a grinding noise going up really steep tracks on two occasions. I’ve had an issue with noise a few years back which turned out to be the lower suspension bearings needing replacing. Not sure what the issue might be here - might be the motor. Hence the low reserve. (2) I’ve had the odd occurrence when I’ve had to make sure the controller is correctly seated to get it to work when it put back on the bike after transporting or on a long rough downhill

Why can I not speak to you over the phone and have the same discussion. I have a spare cx performance motor but not sure if it would work as it has the larger chain ring. I wanted to know wether you were open to keeping bike for a few weeks once i had pushed buy now. As mentioned I would be driving down to collect. I am old school and like to speak in person when buying something this valuabl j*********6 (1117 • 06:41 pm, Sun, 5 May )I'm no bike mechanic but my thoughts are below. The bike has the Bosch Performance line CX generation 2. Check the version of your motor - if it's got a large chainring then I would think it's a Gen 4 and would not fit the bike. Sorry but I'm not keen to holding on to the bike for some weeks as I need to free up garage space.... bsc11 (172 • Sunday, 5 May 2024 )Hi sorry message only allows 500 letters so please add an e onto valuable. j*********6 (1117 • 06:43 pm, Sun, 5 May )Done bsc11 (172 • Sunday, 5 May 2024 )Hi thx for being so honest I appreciate your reply and I wish all the best with the sale of your bike j*********6 (1117 • 08:15 pm, Sun, 5 May )Thanks bsc11 (172 • Sunday, 5 May 2024 )Hi have ghe chain and sprockets been replaced when the cluster was changed? If so when? And any brakes work done? Also how many hours riding at full assist do you get from a charge? Thanks m***********r (553 • 11:02 am, Mon, 6 May )Cassette last replaced Jul 2022. I change the chain as per SRAM instructions (using a Pedro's chain checker plus tool). Front sprocket never replaced. I change the brake pads when they need them but the rear caliper was replaced a few years back when I broke it. Never ridden at full assist for an entire charge - example ride when I used the most assist would be Emtb+tour, 24km distance, 800m elevation, in 1hr 40 min ride time, used 50% battery. bsc11 (172 • Monday, 6 May 2024 )Also, does the seat post tube take a standard size dropper, and if so what size would it be? Thanks m***********r (553 • 11:08 am, Mon, 6 May )Pretty standard size in terms of width - 31.6 mm. I had a 150mm travel One up v2 dropper post on it but it may have originally had a 170mm travel on it. It's a straight tube so I would not think space would be an issue. bsc11 (172 • Monday, 6 May 2024 )
