QUALIFIED BUILDER WANTED – JOIN RYAN THOMAS CUSTOM CONSTRUCTION Ryan Thomas Custom Construction is a family-owned and operated building company based in the Hutt Valley. We specialise in new residential builds, along with renovations, landscaping, and light commercial work. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality projects from the ground up.
Due to an increasing workload, we’re looking to expand our team and bring on a Qualified Builder who is keen to grow their career with a busy and supportive crew.

THE ROLE – QUALIFIED BUILDER We are looking for a Qualified Builder with 3+ years of experience who can work confidently on a range of building projects.
Pay rate: Negotiable depending on experience Extras: Van, fuel card, and phone may be provided depending on experience
KEY REQUIREMENTS To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:
- Qualified Builder with minimum 3 years’ experience
- Ability to supply a full basic tool kit (hand tools, nail gun, skill saw, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering plans
- Ability to work independently and unsupervised
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality workmanship
- A proactive attitude, with willingness to learn, teach, and take on responsibility
- Solid understanding of Health & Safety practices
- Ability to build strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, council, and the team
- A proven track record delivering a high standard of building work
- Full, clean, current NZ Driver’s Licence
ELIGIBILITY Applicants must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa. Candidates may be required to undergo a New Zealand Criminal Record Check (Criminal Record and Traffic Check), information collected will be relied upon in making an offer of employment.
