Rare opportunity to own a piece of history! This beautiful Caledonia "Modern Dover" cast iron cooking stove was manufactured by Caledonia Stove & Iron Works, Bonnybridge, Scotland in the 1930s.

Features:

• Original cast iron throughout with maker's marks clearly visible
• Firebox with grate still intact
• Removable cooking plates on top
• Brass/bronze flue pipe included

Dimensions:

• 79cm long × 49cm wide × 64cm high (plus flue pipe)
• Weight: Approximately 80-100kg - it's heavy!

Condition: Excellent external condition for its age (~90 years old). Some surface rust inside the firebox (visible in photos), which is typical for a stove that hasn't been used in many years. The flue is NOT currently connected. Sold as a decorative/restoration piece - we have not tested it.

History: These stoves were made specifically for export to the colonies (NZ, Australia) and are increasingly hard to find. An identical example is held in the Falkirk Council museum collection in Scotland. We'd love to keep it, but are renovating our kitchen, and don't have room.

Important - Buyer Must Arrange Collection:

• Located in Wellington City
• Must be collected by mid-February - available for pick up from week beggining 2 February
• Our builder will remove it from the kitchen alcove, but buyer is responsible for transport from site
• Bring strong helpers and a suitable vehicle!
