This is quite a large old money box designed for big old pennies and half-crowns. It looks to date to between about 1910 and 1930.

It is made of a native wood I think so it a real piece of New Zealand folk art from the early 20th century.

It has some wear but is overall in great antique condition.

Measures about 256 mm high and 129 mm wide by about 51 mm deep.
