This cameo is carved in Lava Stone and set in sterling silver. It dates from around 1800 and was made in Italy - thus no hallmarks on the silver. The brooch measures 43 mm wide and is in beautiful antique condition. Meaning excellent condition but not mint. Please look at the photos, there are a couple of minute signs of age.
