Here we have a Majolica Spittoon made at the Milton Pottery in Otago, NZ. The same piece is featured in the DVD "Royal Minton Potteries NZ 1873-1917. A History of Miltons Colonial Pottery Works" presented by Milton's Local Pottery Historian Paul Griffin (see pics). 18cm diameter and 8cm tall. Hole on the side for draining. Clean with no chips, cracks or repairs. A most attractive example. An extremely rare piece of NZ colonial era Commercial Pottery
