This Telegraph Relay was made by Elliott Brothers, London, c1910-20. It is in excellent overall condition with an unusual blued brass casing. Elliott Bros were high-quality instruments. A telegraph relay is a sensitive, electromagnetically operated switch used in telegraphy to receive and repeat signals. It allowed for long-distance communication by boosting the electrical pulses along the telegraph line.
