Kookaburra design with privy mark The Australian Kookaburra is a sought-after coin series featuring annual designs of our iconic ‘laughing’ bird. In 2022, four privy mark issues of a coloured variant were issued to mark ANDA Money Expo events in Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne and Sydney.

Coloured privy mark The Melbourne Money Expo ANDA Special portrays a kookaburra perched on an ornamental garden bath with agapanthus in the background. As well as The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark, the design includes a coloured privy mark representation of a Leadbeater Possum, the animal emblem of Victoria found predominantly in the mountain ash forests of the state’s central highlands.

Coin show packaging The coin is housed in a superbly illustrated presentation card featuring the words MELBOURNE MONEY EXPO ANDA SPECIAL and the Australasian Numismatic Dealer’s Association’s logo.
