2023 Morgan Dollar Silver Coin with Box & COA The Morgan Silver Dollar, a shining emblem of American history and numismatic artistry, was introduced in the US in 1878 to serve as the official dollar coin until 1904 and got a restrike in 1921.
The US Mint prepared a commemorative release in 2021 to celebrate the centennial of its last issuance. Due to a silver blanks shortage in 2022, the production of these Modern Morgan Dollars was halted for a year but resumed in 2023 and 2024.
Morgan Dollars, in particular, captures the intricate beauty and craftsmanship that have made the Morgan Dollar a beloved classic since its introduction in 1878. Each coin is minted with precision, highlighting the iconic Lady Liberty on the obverse and the majestic eagle on the reverse.
Today, we have the original mint box with a Certificate of Authenticity.

The Design The obverse, designed by Chief Engraver George T. Morgan, showcases Lady Liberty wearing a Phrygian cap adorned with wheat and cotton balls and a tiara inscribed "LIBERTY."
Further engravings on this side correspond to the motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM," thirteen stars representing the original colonies and the year of issuance.
The reverse displays a Bald Eagle with outstretched wings holding arrows and olive branches in its talons, encircled by laurels.
It also includes "IN GOD WE TRUST," "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," and "ONE DOLLAR."
