Vintage United States pre 1853 Fractional GOLD California Quarter Gold Dollar
I picked this up recently on US trip among some other coin and holder purchases. I was provided the following information on it:
Pre 1853 1/4 dollar solid gold coin. Likely off the Winfield Scott Shipwreck. This coin is a rare coin and can’t be found easily. Damage to top of coin can be seen in pictures. Everything is vibrant and struck well/clear. Enjoy this rich piece of history Pre 1853!
as you can imagine being fractional currency this is a very small coin. Just 1cm across.
I will include a capital plastics brand new gold coin holder. Although the holder is way to big for this coin being for the USA $2.50 gold coin. still be a nice way to display this piece of US gold coinage history.
