A vintage handcrafted sterling silver pendant in the traditional Siwa Oasis style, featuring detailed repoussé and punchwork throughout. The design centres on an evil eye motif, a protective symbol deeply rooted in Egyptian and North African spiritual tradition. Each element has been individually punched and formed by hand, displaying the hallmarks of artisan metalwork from the Siwa region.
Suspended from a long sterling silver snake chain, this is a substantial and beautifully balanced piece that showcases both cultural symbolism and fine handcrafting. The reverse of the disk is marked “925” for sterling silver. The bail also features etched geometric and floral detailing, common to Siwan jewellery aesthetics.
A striking collector's pendant that wears as a talismanic statement piece, with both artistic and ethnographic significance.
