Vintage and an absolute stunner.
The original image is a revered Byzantine icon depicting the Virgin Mary holding the Child Jesus, with the Archangels Michael and Gabriel flanking them, holding the instruments of the Passion.
The gilded print is titled "S. MARIA DE PERPETUO SUCCURSU" at the bottom.
Greek initials on the image identify Mary as "Mother of God" and the child as "Jesus Christ".
The angels are identified as St. Michael and St. Gabriel by the letters above their heads.
Frame dimensions are circa. 46cm tall and 36cm wide.
