Description
Beautiful silver and possibly wood brooch . It's a tiny replica of the weapons used by the Gurkha which were made in Nepal and originally carried by the wealthy. Kukri brooches were called "sweetheart brooches" because, like other military-themed jewelry from the First and Second World Wars, they were intimate tokens of love and loyalty given by soldiers to their wives, girlfriends, mothers, or sisters. They were worn by women on the home front as a sign of pride and affection for a loved one serving in the military. Lovely carved detailing to the front and a real collectors piece. i would love it to go to someone who would appreciate it
