Absolutely beautiful 9ct rose gold original Edwardian amethyst and pearl fringe necklace which is circa 1901-1910

Stamped on the original barrel clasp for 9ct gold

This beautiful piece is set with 11 oval cut amethysts, 3 round cut amethysts and 9 seed pearls each linked by a fine "knife edge" bar to a the chain. This design makes the gemstones appear to float against the skin when worn

This amethysts range in size from the oval cut 6 x 4 mm, 5 x 4 mm, 4 x 3 mm and round cut 4.5 mm amethysts. The seed pearls are approx 1 mm in size. There is a minimum of 5 carats of gemstone weight in this necklace

The drops are all graduated forming a pretty fringe design when worn. The natural amethysts are beautifully matched and an exceptionally good vibrant strong colour.

The length of the necklace is 17 inches long and drops in the centre middle section a further 25 mm at the longest point

The original belcher chain links are 2 mm wide

Weighs 7.3 grams

This is a stunning original Edwardian necklace in 9ct rose gold in remarkable condition for the age of over 110 years old. There is no damage to the gemstones or necklace, we do not think this has hardly, if ever been worn. This is a stunning piece of original and very collectible Edwardian jewellery in original condition, a rare find
