Authentic late 18th to early 19th century brass draw telescope (spyglass), featuring a multi-section extending barrel with a dark leather-wrapped grip. A fine example of an early optical instrument with a rich, untouched patina developed over centuries.
This type of telescope was commonly used during the Age of Sail, associated with naval officers, explorers, and maritime navigation. The form, materials, and construction are consistent with late Georgian–early Regency period instruments.
