Description
Authentic artefacts recovered from the North Island, carefully cleaned and in a presentation case. One musket ball was shot, as evidenced by the deformation, while the other is unfired and rounder.
These would have been widely used from 1818 to 1853 during the Musket Wars and the following New Zealand Wars against the British and Colonial forces, before being replaced by the Enfield Musket Ball and Snider Minie Rounds.
These larger calibre musket balls were likely fired from a Brown Bess flint-lock musket, and range from about 17mm-19mm in diametre.
Lots of local New Zealand history with these pieces, and would make a great display piece or present for the history enthusiast. Guaranteed Authentic.
Presentation case measures 4cm x 3cm, and is just over 3cm in height. You will receive the exact items shown in the picture.
