Fully illustrated with comic captions from the Victorian age by John Tenniel (of Punch magazine and Alison in Wonderland illustrator), my research indicates? Wonderful grotesque, beautifully illustracted caricatures, showing the social satire of the time. Picture no. 4 shows the 12 groups that have 4 pictures the same (48 cards total), and picture 5 shows the 2 groups that have 3 pictures the same (6 cards total) as per photographs.
