The raw (unpolished/coated) kauri gum (copal / kapia) is 9x8x5cm - written is "Curnow Rd" as far as I can read - an area? I dont know. Just added example image of 2 smaller pieces - showing crystal clear yellow inside, came from same lot but 2 pcs are not incl in this listing - the large piece only It is not new soft gum - is very hard, brittle old gum - precious, have seen similar sizes for over $400

The heavy (lead) rock labelled "galena pyrite - tui mine" comes from the closed Tui Mine in Coromandel, others from same lot are in the Thames School of Mines. Fossils from known fossil "forest" in South island. Red heavy rock labelled "fern" - with all the molten looking swirls is from memory, either fern gully, or a fern fossil. !?!?

Some are slices revealing interior, some green, pink, and red waves lines, see more individual images of some.

Items listed are from my personal hobby, which I have collected, purchased, or been given by my family and friends over many years. They are surplus, double-ups, extras, or simply don't suit being a part of our ambitions of reopening the free public, educational technology museum again in the near future.

Sorry, buying with Ping option is removed as Trademe did not transfer all my ping sales from the last few months. Now $500 has vanished from my ping account and I cant pay the storage rent for the next 4 months :(
