Otodus fossil shark tooth - $18 each Otodus obliquus (scientific name) Oulad Abdoun Basin, Morocco 60 - 40 million years old
All teeth are between 35mm - 48mm The pics are a sample of what is available, there are more not pictured. These fossil shark teeth are in very good condition, they're all sharp and complete with both cusplets. There are no repairs or restoration. Otodus obliquus (commonly called simply Otodus) is the first species in the genus Otodus and is a direct ancestor of Megalodon - the last species in the genus. As the genus evolved, the cutting edges developed serrations and the cusplets got smaller and disappeared entirely with Megalodon. Otodus obliquus teeth are frequently found in retail shops with heavy plaster restoration and/or repairs and a very high price tag.
