Description
Trilobite fossil - $7 each Flexicalymene Middle Ordovician – Early Silurian Morocco
Trilobites are extinct marine arthropods that dominated the ocean floor for around 270 million years, becoming extinct approx 250 million years ago. They evolved in to many ecological niches and there are over 20,000 described species. They range in size from approx 1mm to over 70cm. The specimens I have for sale here show some incredible detail but also, none are complete. Some have poor prep work, some have repairs - pieces glued back on etc. They're not pristine, centrepiece display specimens but they are priced accordingly. However, they are awesome for kids as they can be handled and examined without fear of losing an expensive specimen if it was dropped - they're great for a novice collector or a teaching tool!
The pics are a sample only of what is available (I have many more), some are nicer and some are in worse condition (just being totally honest, I'm not trying to oversell these haha). This will be a lucky dip, I will grab one at random for you. These are the same species of trilobite you find in retail shops, in similar condition for a much higher asking price.
Pick up is welcome from the Hibiscus Coast I can put it on a tracked courier anywhere in NZ for $7 (RD extra) I can combine postage up to 4 specimens, but the freight cost will increase a little bit if you want 5 or more.
