Large Gold and Ironstone Specimen weighing 26.46 grams, with veins and chunky gold throughout.

Dry weight: 26.46 grams Wet weight: 19.15 grams (suspended)

I previously listed this in a rush leaving out some key details in order to take advantage of Trade Me's free selling day. There was a bid so I couldn't change the details. Now everything is correct.

This came from the estate of my father, who was a geologist and prospector in the 1940's.

I've also listed a quartz and gold specimen at $1 reserve

I've put in the dry weight and the wet suspended weight but can't find the formula for ironstone and gold, possibly because the S.G. of ironstone can vary depending upon the ratio of magnetite and hematite. Maybe someone can help? nzarrow (410) • Friday, 24 May 2024
