Description
When you think about Megalodon, you think about massive teeth. Not all Megalodon teeth are massive though, at one point the shark was a juvenile and it shed teeth. These two Megalodon teeth are each from a juvenile shark but that's not the only thing that makes them unique.... they are both posterior (back) teeth. One is an upper jaw tooth, the other is a lower jaw tooth. The darker tooth is from the upper jaw and is the last tooth in the jaw. The lighter tooth is from the lower jaw and is the 2nd to last or last tooth in the jaw. Posterior teeth are much rarer than anterior (front) or lateral (side) teeth.
These were found on the lower east coast in the USA (North Carolina, South Caroline, Florida)
NOTE - One pic shows the two teeth next to a large Megalodon tooth.... just to show how small these teeth are! The large tooth is not for sale.
