After much demand we have decided to make available another stunning pounamu taonga from our family heirloom collection, acquired in the 1970's. It weighs nearly 6kg on the sack scales, so about 12.5 pounds. Photos show it in all its glory, no sanding, only many years of oiled hands touching this treasured pounamu. A beautiful Nephrite stone to behold, a world class specimen indeed. I can add photos at a later date of a light shining into the flawless apple greenish/blue jade. There is also a large chatoyant band on one side that flashes colours when tilted in the sun. (Tip: in the past we have placed seasoned stones through the dishwasher and found the hot wash removes all traces of oiled accumulated over the years, back to when the stones were first collected.)
