Description
Beautiful multi flat mould by Anton Reiche, Dresden Germany, dating to the early 1930/40’s.
This mould allows you to make several smaller chocolate treats at the same time, you just temper your chocolate, spread it over the top, scrape it clean the set and turn out. Just like the good old days!
The mould has some slight cracking on a couple of panels but shouldn’t affect performance and/or display. The mould bears the makers mark AR as well as the catalog reference number #4364 on side panelling.

Antique metal chocolate moulds disappeared in the late 1940’s being replaced by polycarbonate then silicone. These earlier molds were hand pressed in copper, nickel or tin and are seldom seen for sale reaching very high prices! Most of the master dies were lost, destroyed or scrapped for ammunitions during WW2.
