Description

The card has rounded corners and some age spotting on both the front and reverse. There is also a light crease on the bottom right corner and the top left corner. Notice the name of the General Store, Fred F. Day. Frederick was born 1852 in America and landed in Auckland with his parents in 1857. He arrived in Dargaville in in 1895 and opened his General Store. He married Emma Frances Cadman in 1875 in New Zealand.
Frederick died (age 76) on 10 Jul. 1926 and was buried in Old Mount Wesley Cemetery, Dargaville, Kaipara District. He was elected Mayor of Dargaville in 1908, and had also held many other public positions. Please check photos' as these form part of my description. I do not make fixed price offers. Actual postal rate is $2.00 per envelope containing up to 6 cards. I am always happy to combine postage where possible but cards must be paid for within 10 days of the close of first auction. I also offer tracked postage if required at actual cost of $4.80. Postage to Australia is a minimum $3.30 as of March 2nd
