ROYAL GALA 41 - Queen Elizabeth II Royal Tour of New Zealand dish 1953-54

In fond memory – just for you, for your collection or for display... we offer today a very collectable Tunstall dish commemorating the first visit to New Zealand by HM Queen Elizabeth II and her husband RHR The Duke of Edinburgh.

Please check the photos for details, displaying the young Queen in that highly decorated bowl with its all over gilt floral pattern . This attractive dish is being offered in a used vintage condition, sadly there are some tiny mousebites at the rim. We have reduced the reserve accordingly.

This stunning little beauty measures 14 cm across. At its base the suacer shows two stamps, firstly the traditional stamp of H&K Tunstall, one of England's leading china manufacturers in the good old days, located in Stoke-on-Trent, the heartland of England's china production. This stamp was overprinted in gold as follows:
