Description

This is an old brass bell that was used on the SS Southern cross ocean liner. It has the enamel badge on brass and has a handle shaped like an anchor.it needs a good polish and I’m not sure if the bell is brass or copper.I think it looks like copper but the description on auction where I bought it said ship brass bell. The inside at the top says made in England. It is about 14 cm tall.I think the SS Southern cross was the first ocean liner that became a British passenger ship under British reign. It was in the 1950,s but the bell itself I think looks older. It had wear on it and has tarnish but I’m sure can be revived .I can package and post at the buyers expense.
