Lovely Antique Art Nouveau Solid Brass Crumb Tray/ silent butler.
Original Art Nouveau table crumb catcher tray by J.S & S = Joseph Sankey & Son, England c. early 1900’s.
Solid brass pan with an elegant scalloped shape, decorated with embossed fruit overflowing from a large bowl beneath a fan design . A charming vintage piece and great patina on the brass.
Once an essential item, used as a table tidy to remove crumbs from the table, this is a charming reminder of a bygone era.
In very good vintage condition, a few small marks Moderate wear consistent with age. but this does not detract from this beautiful vintage item. Please see photographs for more detail as they form an integral part of the description, thank you.
Makers Mark stamp to the back "Made in England. J.S&S Solid Brass" and also "Rd No 242679" on the front.
