A Schafer & Vater antique smoking collectable. Known for their quirky smoking heads, strange ashtrays, and novelty match holders This ashtray from the early 1900's is called "Happy Feet' or sometimes known as 'Big Mouth'. The big mouth is the ashtray and the holes in the head and feet for your matches or perhaps you could use for toothpicks or incense.
A special item for the specialist collector.
Made in Germany Circa 1930
Priced as based on actual selling prices at Auctions (see last photo) where one of these sold for US$130 + 18% buyers premium = NZ$267
I've always loved this item, which belonged to my Grandfather, but it's time for many of our family heirlooms to go to new homes where they will continue to be treasured for years to come.
