Crafted at the Kowhai Forge in the King Country, Waikato.
Hand-forged and tempered 1040 carbon steel
Hand-carved, tapered Robinia hardwood handle.
Traditional design, lifetime tool.
Field-tested for durability, designed for cracking basalt and other hard rocks. Designed by Waikato geologist Oliver McLeod based on the specs of traditional American field hammers.
Can be stamped with owner’s initials
Photos of hammer in the field show examples of use - the hammer being sold is new and unused.
