A very good large water colour by the Noted British born Artist Edwin St. John 1878-1961. He painted all over England/ Scotland and I think this work may have had Scottish origins. He also painted extensively on the continent, France and Italy in particular. A prolific artist. Lots of info on Mutual Art site. Has sold through Christie's previously. Prices of his larger works can reach up to $1900.
Signed front bottom right. Possibly painted in the 1920/ 30's.
Frame Size; 113 X 77.5 cm. Work Size; 85 X 50 cm.
A lovely work with good color and detail. A popular type of scene, done really well. Has anti-glare glass in the frame.
Work is in very good condition.
