A very neat quite large original painting or art work that is signed Val Tubman and dated (19) 84, a noted New Zealand artist, of various Scenes of Waihi and surrounding area a - Large montage of Waihi Area scenes as per photos. (camera flashes can lighten up or change its looks, so if exact colours & shades are important to you do not bid or buy) You may recognise the NZ famous Waihi Gold Mine Cornish Pump House (before it was moved) & the Waitawheta Falls etc. This is an original artwork by a known artist. I think the art work is quite well done. It is a mixture of watercolour and some other mediums (not sure exactly what. It is glassed, looks like non reflective. Not an expert, but I think the artwork looks very good. Has a number of little marks spots, browning etc etc but to me, given its age and subject (locals are less likely to worry about them perhaps) basically fine considering. Frame has age related wear & tear, bangs, scrapes, marks, chips etc but still quite livable. (but still quite ok to just hang there as it is) There are many photos to give a good indication of condition, so have a look at all the photos to help you make up your own mind regards its condition, use or interest to you. It is quite large, the frame measures approx 875mm x 500mm odd. Inside the frame is approx 805mm odd x 635mm odd. What you can actually see of the artwork itself is approx 620mm x 460mm odd. Because it is so big, and has glass, I would much much much prefer pickup - but will send if I really really have to. A good collectable piece for the right person or place. We allow pickups, but if you can not pickup or do not want to, we can send for you on your behalf, at your risk, as NZ Post does not cover original artworks.
