Hal Leonard BASS METHOD 1 This is the first of a set of three Bass tuition books by Hal Leonard. (47 pages) A4 size Book number 1 is designed for anyone just learning to play Bass guitar. This is the book I use with my own students which provides students with a sound knowledge of Bass guitar, equipment, beginner techniques, timing, common bass lines, patterns, rhythms, and reading music. Tabs are not introduced until book 2, which helps student in the reading of music notation. Playing tips are included and the book consists of over 100 songs, riffs and examples. From a Bass Teachers perspective, this is an excellent book for the beginning bassist with exercise easily broken down into manageable units for individual lessons.
