Japanese cedar timber is pleasantly scented, light colour to reddish-pink to dark brown in colour, lightweight and resistant to bugs/decay. It is easy to saw and season with good woodworking properties, and is favoured for its appearance. It is used in joinery, boxes, panelling, veneers, plywood and furniture. Japanese Cedar is a naturally waterproof timber ideal for all non-structural uses like cladding, battens, hot tubs etc.
