Single Cylinder Deadlock ability to lock or unlock the door from the inside of the house with a thumb-turn provides a level of ease to which the modern homeowner has grown used.

Single Cylinder Deadlock Function - On the outside, there is a keyed cylinder, while on the inside, the door is locked and unlocked with a thumb turn. In the event of an emergency, the inside thumb turn provides for a quick departure.
