Granny Flat / Minor Dwelling Information

From 15 January 2026, many granny flats up to 70 m² may be built without a building consent, provided the exemption requirements are met. This applies to most of our designs (excluding our three-pod model). Planning rules, council notification, services, and other requirements may still apply.
