South Taranaki Quarries (STQ) is a well-established and highly reputable company operating three quarries in the South Taranaki region. The sites on offer provide regional coverage from Opunake in the north to Nukumaru in the South.

Current operating strategy has one continuously operating site (Hawera), a seasonally operated site (Opunake), and a greenfield shellrock site (Nukumaru) which is strategically placed as a material hub close to the Whanganui market and now ready to be commissioned.

All three quarries are fully consented, have infrastructure established, and produce material for sale including M4, AP40, AP65, AP120, AP150, drainage metal, washed stone, washed sand, race fines, rip rap rock, and boulders. The sites have sustaining land leases in place.

STQ has a compact team of experienced staff led by an Operations Manager. The operating crew possess the requisite engineering and mechanical competencies to operate the quarry safely and efficiently. The designated Quarry Manager is the proprietor.
