Size: Medium Brand: Japanese Vintage Era: Late 1940s to early 1950s
This is a rare 1950s Japanese Sukajan souvenir jacket, dated from the late 1940s to early 1950s. Sukajan jackets were handmade in Japan for US infranty stationed in Japan after World War 2 and the Korean War. Often made from surplus silk and parachute fabric, these jackets hold a special place in the history of fashion. This particular example is in excellent shape for it's age and prestige.

Measurements Length: 62 cm Pit to pit: 56 cm
Excellent condition. Flaws: light colour run on the lower ribbed hem. Quilt stitch has come undone in one section of the inner blue chest panel, near the embroidered eagle as shown. Small mark on one sleeve, minor wear to one underarm (last photo).
