Description

Purchased in 2020 and been essential for craft projects and birthday parties ever since. This is our second printer and immediately demonstrated you get what you pay for. Beautiful prints and virtually print and forget.

Selling as have bought a Core One to get back into ABS and Polycarbonate printing.

Includes:

  • manuals
  • 2 print sheets (smooth PEI pictured and almost new textured sheet)
  • filament holders and buffers (pictured)
  • supplied holders and buffer
  • all parts removed when adding MMU
  • spare nozzles (0.25, 0.4, 0.6 & 0.4 hardened)

The video below shows the main setup with combined filament holder and buffer, while doing a multimaterial print. The newer holders cope with more spool types and easily adjust to spool width.

One of the benefits of the MMU is single nozzle mode for single material prints which asks you to choose which filament source to print with each time. You can keep your most used filaments loaded for quick printing but don't need to worry which position they are in, ie always having black PLA as filament 1, etc.

Since we've had this printer, the only issue we have had is that the extruder belt needed tightening. And the printer told us!

  • Could you please post a photo of the back of the mmu, thanks z198 (0) • 9:27 am, Wed, 6 May Sure. Anything particular you are looking for? jemmart (195) • Wednesday, 6 May 2026
  • The pd board and ideally the mmu main board revesion number although I do understand it's hard to read when installed. So generally just an image of the back please. Thanks z198 (0) • 9:55 pm, Wed, 6 May PD = power distribution? I’ve added some photos. Let me know if you’re after more? jemmart (195) • Wednesday, 6 May 2026
  • PD board is the new power and data distribution board prusa added, however the first set they shipped had a small known issue that caused the motors to stutter occasionally. I don't see the photos yet but I'll keep an eye on the listing for when they load up. z198 (0) • 4:52 pm, Fri, 8 May I heard about that, but never noticed anything. The MK3S and MMU2 were quite old by the time we bought this. jemmart (195) • Friday, 8 May 2026
  • I do see theme now thanks, was the mmu upgraded from a 2 to the 3? z198 (0) • 4:53 pm, Fri, 8 May Partially. Firmware and parts you could print yourself. Made. Huge difference! I did the extruded chimney too so the filament sensor adjustment is by thread rather than bump and pray. jemmart (195) • Friday, 8 May 2026
