Not just pass/fail result like cheaper testers, but measurements with recommendations. Unfamiliar with the graphs? Limits drawn on them show you by how much the cable has exceeded or failed the standards
Try doing that with a $300 cable tester that only shows a pass/fail result to an unknown threshold, and distance to only the start of the bad section

Don't worry if you don't understand all the tests; the DSP-4100 will report against chosen test standard (e.g. cat-6 cat-5e ISO/IEC_11801 Class D 1000BASE-T Gigabit), and the manual teaches general fault finding
Can apply a tone to the cable, so your probe can identify it among others, or trace exactly to the problem
Tests other cable types, e.g co-ax, custom
It is a lot cheaper than Fluke's current models (>$12,000)
