Hi I want to ask you something, if I by this can I use the ssd boot hard drive from apple pro 5,1? I need this computer to boot up on so I can access my hard drives as they are encrypted to this drive. This machine uses the same 3.5" SATA hard drives as the 2010~2012 Mac Pros (MacPro5,1). However, if your Mac Pro came with an SSD from Apple, it will have a 3.5" SATA adapter - either way, whichever drive your Mac Pro has - it can be installed in this machine, allowing it to either boot directly - or, allow for the drive to have a working system installed to boot this iMac. I can better explain it when we speak. They both use the standard 3-pin clover-pin configuration.
