MUCH cheaper and less fiddly than set ups involving stands, separate light sources, etc.

Works for 35mm film/slides using full frame, micro four thirds or APS-C digital cameras. Mirrorless preferred for reduced vibration.

In perfect working order and excellent condition. Takes only a few minutes to do a roll of 36 negatives. Happily used for making A3+ size prints for display using my dedicated Epson Surecolor printer.

To use this you will need a macro lens capable of 1:1 reproduction and a dslr. The macro lens shown is NOT included in this sale. Valoi provides a long list of compatible new and inexpensive old macro lenses that can be used.

Black tubes (see photos) of different lengths are combined to get your macro lens at exactly the right distance from the light box so the film frame exactly fits the camera’s viewfinder. (Valoi sells a tube with a helical screw adjustment in case combinations of tubes are not perfectly of the right length to do this). Once done, no need to do again.

Included thin adaptor rings are for fitting the tubes to macro lenses of different filter sizes.

I use FilmLab to convert the scans & do initial edits to get the colours and contrast half right, & finish edits in another app. with better tools. It's a relatively cheap monthly subscription (cancel any time) & standalone – no need to have another app like Photoshop to run it.

Included: 35mm film holder, slide holder and wider 35mm film holder enabling film sprockets to be imaged.
