This is a custom Dell Server which is actually an R640 under the hood. I struggle to see any difference.
It has the following specs: CPUs: 2 x Gold 5118 RAM: 32GB DD4 ECC Registered HDD: 4 x 600GB SAS RAID Controller: Perc H730 iDrac: Enterprise
The coolest feature of this server is that it is whisper quiet. It is an R640 so can be loud but in its current configuration, fans spin at 6% which is quieter than laptops I have used. You might even wonder if it’s turned on.
Note: The front bezzel keeps saying initializing… I suspect this might be a firmware thing, iDrac is reporting 0 faults.
Great server with lots of life left.
