Important Notice for Buyers
Please bid only if you are familiar with Swamp Kauri or have experience working with heritage timbers.
Ancient Swamp Kauri is a prehistoric wood preserved in Northland’s peat swamps for up to 45,000 years. While stable and workable, it can behave differently from modern timbers.
Expect: * Natural cracks or movement * Unique grain patterns * Variations in colour, density, and shape * Every piece is one of a kind — beauty lies in its ancient and imperfect character
Thank you for valuing a rare piece of New Zealand’s natural heritage. Good luck with the auction!
