Description
I have a quality collection of timber that I brought with me from South Africa in 2017, and with our upcoming move to Rotorua, it needs to go rather than travel north. This is well-seasoned stock that has been sitting unused, and it deserves to be in the hands of someone who’ll actually put it to work. It’s currently stored in a shipping container in the Tasman area.
Available:
Jacaranda mimosifolia – various lengths and widths. Thicknesses 25 mm, 40 mm, 50 mm and 76×76 squares. Approx. 6 m³. Cedrella toona (Indian mahogany) – various lengths and widths. Thicknesses 25 mm, 50 mm and some 76×76 squares. Approx. 5 m³. Mulberry planks – 25 mm only, approx. 0.25 m³. Red ivory – slab form plus smaller pieces, approx. 0.25 m³. Black ivory – smaller pieces, approx. 0.1 m³.
The timber was treated with Lindane and kiln dried more than 15 years ago.
Jacaranda, Cedrella and Mulberry are priced at $2000 per m³ — excellent buying for properly seasoned hardwood of this calibre. Pricing on the rare hardwoods (Red and Black Ivory) is negotiable.
