Planning a UK trip and wanting as we did, freedom from phone based navigation reliant on existence of service and quality of service when in remote areas or built up areas with shielded or obstructed cell service. To say nothing of overseas roaming charges and getting lost or confused because the phone is running slow and didn’t direct in time to a turn or motorway turnoff resulting in miles of additional travel, or becoming completely lost, the opposite of what is the expectation.
