Description

This classic English Rega Planet CD player is a top loading unit with a robust extruded aluminium chassis . I believe this unit is the later incarnation of the player with the improved 24 bit DAC , power supply and higher quality capacitors. I have owned this from new and am only changing to a front loader due to my new Hi Fi rack limitations. I have never had any issues with the unit and it has been a joy to play music from.

Hi , sorry cant find the original box at this stage. Not 100% on the year I purchased it. The series I think is called 2000 and this differentiated it from the previous model that looked the same but had internal changes. Cheers ron2441 (13) • Friday, 8 August 2025

Hi there, can you please tell me where you purchased this new from? If you had to guess approximately when was it purchased? Dud it originally come with the Rega specific remote for this model? Hi, I think it was Top Hi Fi back in the day when they had a shop and were agents. The Real Music Company are now Rega agents. I`ve spoken to the Auckland branch and they can sell you a Rega system remote, or.. alternatively the like of Harvey Norman do a $50-60 ? remote I believe designed to know your system. When I purchased the player I also purchased a Rega amp and the remote came with the system. Some years later I upgraded the amp and sold the remote with it. ron2441 (13) • Sunday, 10 August 2025
